FAM, an international equipment manufacturer from Magdeburg, has been appointed as a member of the Saxony-Anhalt Environmental Alliance. After an extensive application process, the appointment was confirmed. The decisive factors for this appointment were the new acquisition of a bypass flow filtration system for the treatment of hydraulic and hydrostatic oil, and the reduction of electrical energy consumption through the use of modern LED technology in the production area. Further evidence that FAM GmbH conducts its business in a resource-conserving, environmentally friendly and responsible manner.

The Saxony-Anhalt Environmental Alliance currently counts around 250 commercial enterprises.

FAM managing director Torsten Gerlach: “Our primary goal is to contribute to a sustainable environment and to make efficient use of the resources available. It is very important to me personally to act in an environmentally and socially conscious manner and to minimize the ecological footprint of our company. We have already set high standards during product development to ensure environmentally friendly solutions, technical reliability and a safe and healthy working environment.”

The Saxony-Anhalt Environmental Alliance was established in 1999 as a voluntary agreement between the state government and industry to improve industrial environmental protection and sustainable economic development. The alliance is under the patronage of the Minister-President of Saxony-Anhalt.
