Spritz CST 8.20

At Bauma 2013, which will take place 15-21 April in Munich, Cifa will be presenting on the German market the CST 8.20, a model that joins the company’s well-known products in the shotcrete range: the CSS-3, the CSS-3 Crawler and the PCS 209.

The CST 8.20, already presented at the Intermat and Geofluid fairs, is a new-concept machine, designed for both European and non-European markets, and is positioned in the compact machine segment, suitable for tunnels with heights of up to 9m and for mining applications. The machine is fitted with a Stage 4/Tier 4 motor to comply fully with the new European standards.

The Spritz CST has a 45kW electric motor that guides the pumping stage, a pumping unit with a capacity ranging between 2 and 20m³/h, and a two-section boom, one of which is telescopic. The pump is mounted on a frame specifically designed for work in small tunnels, and is equipped with four-wheel-drive and a hydrostatic drive system.

The machine also has front outriggers and a rear axle locking system that guarantees exceptional stability. A Mattei compressor with an output of 8,900l/min is fitted as standard on the CST 8.20. The automatic admixture batching system is the Uniflux H1.0 with electronic management that allows batching of every type of additive or setting accelerator with the utmost precision.

A number of these machines have already worked on some major jobs all over Europe: in Switzerland, on the E43 during construction of the Roveredo bypass, in Austria during some operations in the Brenner base tunnel, in Italy on the SS36 in the Monte Piazzo tunnel, and in Turkey, during construction work on the Istanbul metro.
