Last month, DomeShelter Australia attended the 2022 Western Australia Export Awards, held at Government House in Perth.

Now in its 34th year, the awards program was established to recognise the achievements of local Western Australian companies that have made achievements in sustainable export growth.

We are honoured to have won the Regional Exporter award. DomeShelter Australia is regionally based, and the receipt of this award is a strong endorsement of our home-grown values.

DomeShelter Australia began exporting shelters in 2009, and now has shelters located in over 40 countries. Maintenance and storage equate to significant costs for large companies every year, particularly those in remote and harsh environments, where access to conventional buildings is expensive, and impractical, with lead times anywhere from months to years. DomeShelter™ Structures are packaged in kit form and shipped globally, installed by the company’s own employees or local contractors.

We passionately believe in the importance and benefits of Australian manufacturing and make huge efforts to foster the importance of Australian Made qualities. Africa, South America, and other countries with significant mining presence often look to Western Australia for best-practice mining solutions. Moreover, a lot of Western Australian companies own or part-own mines all over the world. Having established significant know-how in the mining industry, we are able to provide proven, durable Shelter Solutions for overseas clients.

DomeShelter Australia has installed structures in a range of countries around the world, including Argentina, Chile, Egypt, Ghana, South Africa, Spain, New Zealand, Ireland, and the list continues.

We would like to thank His Excellency, the Honourable Chris Dawson APM, Governor of Western Australia, for presenting our Head of Finance Kobus Franck and International Business Development Manager Willem Krog with the award.

Congratulations to the other winners and many thanks to the organisers and sponsors of the awards, including the Export Council of Australia, the WA Department of Jobs, Tourism, Science and Innovation, Austrade, Export Finance Australia, and others.

DomeShelter Australia is now in the running for the National Australian Export Awards, to be held in Canberra in late November.

Willem Krog will travel to Parliament House to represent DomeShelter Australia at the national awards ceremony. We look forward to representing Regional WA and meeting with other like-minded companies at the event, and wish our fellow finalists good luck!
