Comparative Evaluation of GSD and Image Overlap Settings for Indoor Concrete Inspection Using Flyability AutoScan

This evaluation quantifies Elios 3 AutoScan performance for concrete inspection across nine flight configurations combining three GSD settings (0.3mm, 0.5mm, and 1.0mm) with three image overlaps (80%, 70%, and 60%). Each configuration was tested on industrial retaining walls using one full High-Capacity Battery, providing approximately 12.5 minutes of usable AutoScan acquisition time per flight. The resulting datasets were processed in PIX4Dmatic to assess coverage, photogrammetric robustness, and inspection suitability.
