Colibrys confirmed today the consolidation of all its Seismic systems engineering activities currently located in Stafford, Texas, into its facility in Neuchatel, Switzerland.
“The lack of liquidity in the oil and gas market, combined with the low price for oil, has led to a continued dramatic decline in investments in oil and gas exploration, which in turn has forced Colibrys to restructure its US operations, predominantly focused on the supply of Seismic imaging sensors into these markets. We plan to complete this transition within the coming few months,” stated Sean Neylon, CEO of Colibrys.
Colibrys will retain its sales and application team in the USA supported by its primary distributor AVNET Electronics. Seismic engineering know-how will be consolidated into existing staff based out of its headquarters in Switzerland. The restructuring will impact some 16 people currently based in its Stafford, (TX) facility.
