Kenorland Minerals and Auranova Resources have launched phase four diamond drilling at the South Uchi Project in Ontario’s Red Lake District in Canada.

The latest campaign, announced for the autumn 2026 season, will involve approximately 5,000m of drilling focused on the North Papa trend in the Papaonga target.

This area has previously shown broad zones of gold mineralisation, according to results from earlier phases of exploration.

The latest drilling efforts aim to follow up on prior intercepts, particularly those identified in hole 26PADD046, and to investigate anomalies detected during a recent induced polarisation (IP) survey.

Planned work will involve step-outs along strike and at depth from previous significant intercepts, seeking to better understand mineralised corridors and structural controls within the trend.

In an earlier phase, Hole 26PADD046 intersected several mineralised zones, including 14m at 0.28 grams per tonne (g/t) gold, 65.45m at 0.34g/t gold (with a sub-section of 21m at 0.58g/t gold) and 35.65m at 0.31g/t gold.

Another intercept included 7.7m at 1.13g/t gold, featuring 1m at 7.07g/t gold.

These mineralised intervals occur within felsic and mafic volcanic rocks, accompanied by notable alteration and sulphide mineralisation.

Drilling has also explored gold found near the contact between tholeiitic and calc-alkaline volcanics.

Kenorland Minerals remains the operator of South Uchi, with drilling expected to wrap up by mid-November.

The South Uchi Project was initially staked by Kenorland due to its potential for gold systems.

The region spans volcanic rocks of the Confederation Assemblage near geological boundaries considered favourable for gold.

In December 2024, Kenorland and Auranova signed an agreement giving Auranova rights to earn up to a 70% project interest.

As of July 2025, Auranova holds a 51% interest, having completed cash payments and share issuances required under the agreement.

Kenorland retains a 30% carried interest and a 2% net smelter return royalty on the project.

In July 2026, Kenorland completed its initial diamond drill programme at the Western Wabigoon Project in north-western Ontario, operated under an option agreement with a Centerra Gold subsidiary.
