Integra Resources has obtained approval for its Exploration Plan of Operations for the Wildcat deposit at the Nevada North Project in Pershing County, Nevada, US.

The decision, issued by the Humboldt River Field Office, part of the US Department of the Interior's Bureau of Land Management (BLM), represents a critical step in the progress of the Nevada North Project.

The project also encompasses the Mountain View gold deposit.

These deposits are located approximately 26 miles west of the operating Florida Canyon Mine.

The approval includes the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) Decision Record and Reclamation Permit, allowing expanded exploration at Wildcat.

The NEPA Decision Record entails a final environmental assessment and a Finding of No Significant Impact for Wildcat.

Meanwhile, the Reclamation Permit from the Nevada Division of Environmental Protection's Bureau of Mining Regulation and Reclamation permits expanded exploration and requires a financial assurance based on reviewed reclamation costs.

This follows the earlier approval for the Mountain View deposit, demonstrating ongoing progress in the Nevada North Project.

Looking ahead, the company plans to advance the project from a 2023 preliminary economic assessment (PEA) stage towards a pre-feasibility study, with completion targeted in the second half of 2027.

The Nevada North Project serves as a pivotal growth initiative for Integra Resources in Nevada, centred on scalable, open-pit, heap leach gold operations outlined in the PEA.

Integra president, CEO and director George Salamis said: “Alongside the previously permitted Mountain View deposit, this achievement reflects meaningful and sustained permitting progress in a highly supportive jurisdiction. The project's proximity to our Florida Canyon operation further reinforces the strategic importance of Nevada North within our growing US portfolio.

“This approval significantly enhances our ability to execute larger-scale, more efficient exploration and development programmes at Wildcat as we advance Nevada North toward the next stage of technical and economic evaluation.”

In January this year, the company received confirmation from the BLM regarding a federal permitting schedule for its DeLamar Heap Leach project in Idaho.
