According to a poll taken at the SKF Lifecycle Management for Mining and Cement Conference 2018, the most important key performance indicators in the mining, mineral processing and cement industries are availability and Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE). In four out of ten mining plants, availability is less than 80%. Only a few plants reach 92% or more.
