The Future of Heavy Duty Engine Oil

Mining companies are demanding more from their trucks and heavy equipment than ever before. They want engines with more power, but they also want them to require less maintenance and last longer. At the same time, they want them to use less fuel and produce fewer emissions.

The US Environmental Protection Agency and the National Highway Transportation Safety Commission are implementing new rules in 2017 for diesel-powered commercial transport vehicles, which will require greater fuel efficiency and lower carbon emissions. While these standards initially will apply only to on-highway vehicles, off-highway regulations typically follow on-highway ones by a few years.
