Manchester Engineering Acquires Brisbane Fabrication Facility

Manchester Engineering is pleased to announce the acquisition of Capalaba Engineering.

Capalaba Engineering is a full-service steel fabrication and erection business operating out of Brisbane’s south, with a staff of around 25, including approximately 20 qualified tradesmen and apprentices in the workshop. It currently focuses on structural steel for the construction industry. The workshop can handle up to 100t of fabrication a week and has a large storage facility for completed work.

Moving forward the focus will be on consolidating and improving quality management systems to achieve ISO 9001, and expanding the customer base into mining and infrastructure markets. The company will also maintain the capacity to undertake the largest of projects by utilising its facility in China, which can handle projects up to 10,000t and more.
