Flyability Announces Expert Speaker Agenda for Surveying Connect Day in Vancouver-feature-image

Flyability, the market leader for confined-space drone solutions, has unveiled its agenda for the upcoming Surveying Connect Day in Vancouver, Canada. With one week to go, Flyability’s agenda focuses on bringing expert surveyors together to discuss how Elios drones support their work. The event is open to both Elios drone users and those unfamiliar with Flyability’s solutions.

Flyability has announced four guest speakers for their event, alongside presentations by the Elios 3 product team and Flyability’s reseller, MFE Inspection Solutions. The first speaker is Courtland Penk, president of Osprey Integrity, who will dive into how drone inspections led to seven-figure savings at a large industrial processing plant.

Following this testimony, Flyability has invited Laurie McBean, Geospatial Data specialist at UAS Inc, to explore how to get the most out of Elios 3 LiDAR data, sharing critical insights with the surveyors in the room.

Subsequently, Alex Holmes, surveying supervisor at Evolution Mining’s Red Lake Operation, will take to the stage to present the daily drone surveys that he and his team do. To conclude the guest speaker agenda, Miles Kilcourse, director of Research Robotics Services at Gedeon GRC Consulting, will present. Kilcourse uses the Elios 3 to survey iconic infrastructure in the Northeast, including some of New York’s most recognisable landmarks.

Following speaker presentations, Flyability will host a live Q&A before organising a flying competition where established pilots and newcomers to drone technology can all try their hand at flying the Elios 3. After the drone demonstrations, the event concludes with a networking happy hour where speakers, Flyability team members, and audience members can chat and share ideas.

Registration for Flyability’s Surveying Connect Day in Vancouver is still available on the Flyability website and will close on May 5th. The Surveying Connect Day is being hosted at the Hyatt Regency in Vancouver on May 7th, after CIM Connect ends.

The Surveying Connect Day is free to attend and aimed at surveyors from across the mining, infrastructure, and wastewater sectors. This Vancouver event is Flyability’s Connect day of the year – an event series hosted by Flyability with the aim of bringing the Elios 3 closer to prospective users and creating networking opportunities for existing pilots.
