IBS specialises in the design and production of transfer conveyors, roadheading and tunnelling cutting machines for applications within the mining industry. A further branch of IBS specialises in designing and manufacturing special wear resistant conveyor transfer stations and chutes for mines where high quantities of abrasive rocks need to be conveyed. IBS was established in 1971 and has served the European and overseas mining industry for more than 25 years. Initially operating as a specialist in the field of high grade cladded steel wear plates, the company later began to provide a repair and modernising service for roadheading machines. This diversification into the repair and modernisation business enabled IBS to gain extensive experience in the shortcomings of various design features and provided the company with the opportunity to develop its own range of roadheading and tunnelling machines. Since 1991, over 60 machines have been produced and used in 12 countries world-wide. IBS has earned an international reputation for designing and manufacturing low cost, robust and top quality equipment, adapted to suit individual requirements. Mining machines and associated mining equipment is produced in a variety of sizes and installed power. ROADHEADING MACHINES
