Solstice Gold has commenced its winter 2026 drilling programme at the Strathy Gold Project, situated in the Temagami Greenstone Belt within the Abitibi Subprovince in Ontario, Canada.
The programme will encompass approximately 2,750m of drilling, involving 12–15 drill-holes.
The primary focus is on further exploration of the Red Cedar discovery, which previously yielded notable gold concentrations, including 8.5 grams per tonne (g/t) over 3.5m and 28.7g/t over 1m.
Solstice Gold has already mobilised drill crews, and drilling activities have started on the first hole.
The targeting strategy is informed by high-grade gold findings at Red Cedar and historical mineralisation data from the Leckie Gold Zone, with past intercepts showing 5g/t over 17.28m and 7.66g/t over 7.25m of core lengths.
Additional insights are derived from induced polarisation (IP) surveys conducted by Solstice in 2024 and 2025, covering a total of 34.7 line kilometres.
The Red Cedar target zone's proximity to the Trans Canada Highway, approximately 600m away, facilitates efficient mobilisation.
The drill programme aims to extend the Red Cedar discovery within an IP anomaly measuring at least 600m × 1,000m, open to the east and potentially extending into newly acquired claims.
Solstice Gold noted that the results from the 2025 IP survey highlight two intersecting chargeability trends converging at Red Cedar, potentially linked to a regional fault structure.
This correlation between high-grade gold intercepts and strong IP responses suggests a larger mineralised system may be present.
Consequently, drill targets will concentrate on these intersecting trends at Red Cedar to explore potential depth and strike extensions.
