Questcorp Mining has initiated an induced polarisation (IP) survey at its North Island Copper Project, a 1,168-hectare site near Port Hardy on Vancouver Island, British Columbia (BC), Canada.

The survey, spanning 10–15 line kilometres, is being carried out by Peter E. Walcott & Associates, based in Coquitlam, BC.

The primary aim of the survey is to verify and enhance historical geophysical targets within the Marisa Zone porphyry copper system, providing data to assist in creating follow-up drilling targets.

The ongoing survey lines are positioned between the 1992 IP lines, following the historical survey azimuth, to increase data resolution across the target area.

Both historical and new datasets will be used to produce updated chargeability and resistivity models along with pseudosection interpretations to enhance precision in subsurface targeting before any drilling programme.

Previously, in 1992, two of five diamond drill-holes tested a 1991 IP chargeability anomaly that revealed copper mineralisation in two instances.

This included a concentration of 0.078% copper over 56.39m in one drill-hole (DDH92-01) and 0.041% copper over 70.71m in another (DDH92-03).

Notably, higher copper grades were reported at depth in DDH92-03, with both findings located within altered quartz diorite.

Questcorp Mining president and CEO Saf Dhillon said: “The North Island Copper Project represents a compelling porphyry copper target with demonstrated historical mineralisation.

“This IP programme is a disciplined step toward refining our geological model and advancing toward drill-ready targets.

“With our recent financings completed, the company is well positioned to execute its planned exploration programmes while maintaining a prudent approach to capital deployment.”

In November 2025, the company secured an initial investment from Sorbie Bornholm, an institutional investor based in the UK.
