Purepoint Uranium Group has completed its first diamond drilling programme at the wholly owned Tabbernor Project, situated on the south-eastern edge of Saskatchewan’s Athabasca Basin in Canada.

The company drilled five holes, targeting a 60km corridor of graphitic conductors, which were identified through two years of comprehensive airborne geophysical surveys.

The initial pass drilling covered 1,741m across five holes, and targeted a broad cross-section of the Tabbernor conductive corridor to gain preliminary geological insights into the region’s potential.

Graphite was intersected in all five drill-holes, confirming the airborne electromagnetic signatures that guided target selection.

Structural disruptions were encountered in four out of five hole zones. Assay results for all drill-holes are currently pending.

Purepoint president and CEO Chris Frostad said: “This drill programme provided our first look beneath surface at Tabbernor and delivered the technical insights we were aiming for.

“Every hole intersected graphite, and we encountered the types of structural and alteration features we typically associate with uranium mineralisation. That gives us a meaningful geological foundation as we begin to prioritise where and how to drill next.”

The results will enable Purepoint to further refine its understanding of the underlying geology, verify the location and characteristics of graphitic horizons, and assess structurally complex zones for future exploration.

Spanning more than 50,000 hectares, the Tabbernor Project is located along the northern extension of the Tabbernor Fault System, a major crustal structure in line with numerous uranium occurrences across the Athabasca Basin.

Although the region holds potential, it has seen little to no systematic drilling for uranium prior to this programme.

Purepoint plans to integrate the results from the current drill programme into its ongoing regional interpretation efforts, with the objective of prioritising follow-up targets for more in-depth evaluation.
