Mexican officials have located ten bodies during their investigation into the abduction that took place in January at the site operated by Vancouver-based Vizsla Silver in Sinaloa, the northern state of Mexico.
The Attorney General's office reported the discovery in Concordia, confirming that so far five individuals have been identified, reported Reuters.
Forensic teams continue their efforts to determine the identities of the remaining bodies.
Family members of the kidnapped workers have not yet received official information regarding the unconfirmed identities, said the news agency.
Mexico's mining chamber, Camimex, confirmed the deaths of three miners, namely Ignacio Aurelio Salazar, José Ángel Hernández and José Manuel Castañeda Hernández.
José Manuel Castañeda Hernández, a geologist, was identified by his brother, reported the BBC.
Jaime Castañeda, cited by the BBC speaking to CBC News, said: “In truth, this has been very painful to be here, in a place where we don't want to be. There is no justice with what is happening.”
Camimex has urged a thorough investigation to find those responsible for the attack.
Vizsla Silver has closed its Panuco mine since the abductions took place and is committed to recovering any missing employees and supporting their families.
The Mexican Government has deployed more than 1,000 troops including marines to Sinaloa over the past weekend in an effort to locate any missing miners.
Authorities have also arrested four individuals linked to the case as investigations continue.
Vizsla Silver said it is still waiting for official verification from Mexican authorities and will share additional information when it becomes available.

“Our focus remains on the safe recovery of those who remain missing and on supporting all affected families and our people during this incredibly difficult time.”
