Dateline Resources has acquired the Music Valley Heavy Rare Earths (HREEs) Project situated in Riverside County, California, US.

The project spans 57 claims over an area of 1,140 acres and is situated approximately eight miles south-east of Twentynine Palms.

This acquisition marks a strategic move by Dateline to enhance its portfolio with a focus on heavy rare earth elements, which are essential for various advanced technologies.

The Music Valley area is known for its historical significance in rare earth mineralisation, first identified by US Geological Survey geologists in 1954.

Dateline plans to initiate comprehensive exploration activities at Music Valley, including geological mapping, geochemical analysis through confirmatory rock chip and soil sampling, and geophysical surveys, to identify subsurface targets.

These efforts aim to develop a detailed understanding of the site's mineral potential before drilling operations proceed.

In conjunction with the acquisition, Dateline has also made a strategic investment of $1m (A$1.42m) in Fermi Critical Minerals.

This investment is intended to expedite exploration across Fermi’s portfolio of uranium and rare earth projects in the US.

Fermi manages eight projects at different exploration stages, contributing to a robust pipeline for uranium and rare earth elements.

Dateline managing director Stephen Baghdadi said: “Music Valley gives Dateline direct exposure to heavy rare earth mineralisation in California with historically reported high-grade TREO [total rare earth oxide] results and strong heavy rare earth enrichment.

“Our $1m investment in Fermi provides additional leverage to a substantial US uranium and rare earth portfolio, including drill-permitted projects in Wyoming and Colorado.

“This transaction enhances Dateline’s exposure to gold, uranium, light and heavy rare earths within the US at a time when domestic supply chains are increasingly strategic.”
