Atacama Resources has acquired a full stake in the Atacama 3 mineral property, situated around 16km (10 miles) south of Kirkland Lake in Ontario, Canada.

This site is located roughly 2.5 miles from the Macassa Mine, an operation managed by Agnico Eagle Mines, which has historically played a prominent role in gold production in the region.

The Atacama 3 property lies within a structural corridor that includes significant fault systems in the district.

Encompassing an area of 255 hectares, it comprises 13 contiguous mining claims in Ontario's Abitibi Greenstone Belt. These claims are accessible year-round by road.

Historical drilling efforts between 2006 and 2007 totalled around 1,780m across 15 drill-holes, revealing mineralisation associated with shear structures and quartz veining characteristic of the district.

The property's proximity to established mining operations enhances its exploration potential.

The company has outlined exploration plans for 2026, building on previously identified priority targets from historical data.

Necessary drilling permits have been obtained, with management anticipating routine renewals pending regulatory compliance.

Completed activities include surface stripping and channel sampling, with additional geophysical studies planned to fine-tune drilling objectives.

These may involve conducting ground geophysical surveys such as induced polarisation and subsequent drilling based on refined targets.

Atacama Resources views the property's location within a structurally active corridor as strategically significant, given its proximity to existing infrastructure, although there are no confirmed mineral resources or assurances of economic viability yet.

The company is focused on buying and evaluating early-stage properties in established mining jurisdictions.
