Padbury Mining and joint venture partner Aurium Resources have received approval for drilling of iron mineralisation targets at the Peak Hill iron project"s Mt Padbury prospect in Western Australia.

The firms have received approval for the programme of works from the Department of Mines and Petroleum on the condition that the firms avoid impact on individual species of conservation value.

Drilling at the Mt Padbury prospect will target hematite mineralisation within the Robinson Range iron formation contained within the E52 / 2279 tenement.

Geological mapping at the site has delineated iron ore targets with hematite-goethite mineralisation, with grades of up to 63.3 iron achieved from surface rock chip samples.

Padbury Mining will integrate the Mt Padbury operations with the ongoing evaluation drilling of the magnetite and hematite potential near Telecom Hill prospect.
