Makenita Resources has expanded its land position at the Sisson West Tungsten Project in New Brunswick, Canada, by acquiring additional mineral claims, increasing the total property size from 9,845 acres to 22,665 acres.
The company’s new holdings directly border the Sisson Tungsten Mine operated by Northcliff Resources.

The decision to secure further claims follows initial results from a 2026 airborne magnetic survey, which identified a clear magnetic high and a drill-ready target on the property.
Interpretation of magnetic vector inversion data highlighted a favourable south-west-north-east structural trend, prompting Makenita to target additional strike extent through this expansion.
Compiled airborne survey data and regional historical information are currently under evaluation, and preparations are under way to design a drilling programme for the Sisson West site.
Makenita Resources president Jason Gigliotti said: “This is a very exciting time for Makenita. More than doubling our land position directly against the Sisson deposit, at a time when Sisson has been named a nation-building project by the federal government, speaks to the strategic value of this ground.
“With just over 35 million shares outstanding, management sees meaningful leverage to any exploration success, and we anticipate an active remainder of 2026 across multiple projects.”
Makenita holds a portfolio of projects across Canada.
Its assets include the Serpentinization Iron-Magnetite Project in Saskatchewan, covering 102,110 contiguous acres adjacent to Max Power Mining.
In Quebec, the company has the NTX Rare Earth Project, which extends over approximately 9,000 acres and is considered prospective for rare earth elements.
Makenita’s Hector Project in Ontario spans 5,542 acres in the area near Cobalt and is prospective for cobalt, silver and diamonds.
