Flynn Gold has reported the extension of high-grade gold and tungsten mineralisation at its wholly owned Firetower Project in northern Tasmania, following new assay results from its 2026 drilling programme.

The company released findings from priority mineralised zones in drill-holes FT-2026-002 and 2019FTD003E.

These holes are part of a five-hole campaign designed to extend the gold-tungsten system and collect core for metallurgical testwork.

Results from hole 2019FTD003E, an extension of a historical drill site, revealed a significant intercept of 12.95m at 2.24 grams per tonne (g/t) gold, 0.46% tungsten trioxide, 0.18% copper, 0.23% cobalt and 7.22g/t silver from a depth of 156.9m.

Within this interval, higher grades were also identified, such as 2.58m at 4.56g/t gold and 0.92% tungsten trioxide from 167.27m, as well as a narrower intercept of 0.73m at 11.95g/t gold and 2.29% tungsten trioxide associated with semi-massive sulphide mineralisation.

The company stated that the mineralisation encountered in hole 2019FTD003E sits approximately 50m north-west of a previous intercept, supporting continuity of the polymetallic system and the potential for further extension both along strike and at depth.

Meanwhile, hole FT-2026-002 intersected two zones of lower-grade mineralisation, including 16.4m at 0.65g/t gold and 23.8m at 0.40g/t gold.

Flynn Gold managing director and CEO Neil Marston said: “The final results from our recent drilling programme represent another important step forward for Firetower, delivering an outstanding intersection of almost 13m of high-grade gold and tungsten mineralisation in extensional drill-hole 2019FTD003E.

“This drill-hole was designed to test for depth and north-westerly strike extensions to the geological model.”

Flynn Gold has updated its geological model for Firetower and identified two key structural trends. The F300 Zone trends north-west and hosts broad polymetallic intervals, while the F90 Zone runs east-west and features predominantly gold mineralisation.

The F300 Zone remains open to the north-west and at depth, while recent data suggests that interaction of the structural corridors may enhance localised mineralisation.

Metallurgical testwork is planned as the next step, ahead of an initial mineral resource estimate.

The Firetower Project lies within the Mt Read Volcanic Sequence and has demonstrated mineral continuity over a strike length of approximately 250m and to depths of up to 200m, with mineralisation open along strike and at depth.

The company is continuing with resource definition drilling at its Brilliant prospect within the Golden Ridge Project in north-east Tasmania.
