Here are the ten largest uranium mines by production across the world in 2020, according to GlobalData’s mining database.

1. Cigar Lake Project

The Cigar Lake Project is an underground mine situated in Saskatchewan, Canada. Owned by Cameco, the greenfield mine produced an estimated 0.005 mtpa of uranium in 2020. The mine will operate until 2029.

2. Husab Uranium Mine

Located in Erongo, Namibia, the Husab Uranium Mine is owned by China General Nuclear Power. The surface mine produced an estimated 0.004 mtpa of uranium in 2020. The mine will operate until 2040.

3. Muyunkum Mine

10. Nichols Ranch ISR Uranium Project

The Nichols Ranch ISR Uranium Project is a in-situ leaching mine situated in Wyoming, United States. Owned by Energy Fuels, the brownfield mine produced an estimated 0.003 mtpa of uranium in 2020.
