Centerra Gold has paid $1.1bn to acquire Thompson Creek Metals Company, the operator of the Mount Milligan Mine in British Columbia, Canada.

Under the deal, Centerra acquired all the issued and outstanding common shares of Thompson Creek. Funds were subsequently transferred to Centerra’s newly formed wholly owned subsidiary, Centerra BC Holdings.

Golden Dawn Minerals has signed a letter of intent (LoI) to acquire with Nadina Explorations’ wholly owned subsidiary, Kettle River Resources, in exchange for C$1.6m ($1.21m).

The target company owns the Kettle River mineral properties within the Greenwood area, British Columbia, Canada. The properties host 54 mineral claims covering an area of approximately 10,400ha.

The transaction is expected to be completed on 31 January 2017.
