China accounts for 18% of global production, with the other largest producers being Australia (28%), the Republic of Guinea (24%), Brazil (8%) and Indonesia (7%). Exports of bauxite from China declined by 9.33% to 40kt in 2022 over 2021, with the highest share being exported to France. China’s bauxite exports are expected to grow at a CAGR of 0.8% between 2022 and 2026, to 41kt by 2026.
Aluminum Corporation of China is one of the leading producers of bauxite in China. Aluminum Corporation of China's output was 28.14Mt in 2021, up by 37% on 2020.
