Ausroad Systems have supplied RIO TINTO with two of their latest Stemming Trucks finished and ready to tackle the harsh WA conditions bringing the total Ausroad Stemming trucks in WA fleet up to 11 Trucks.

This is a huge recommendation for Ausroad as they are a long time preferred supplier for Rio Tinto and their builds are in hot demand across the mining sector, all manufactured from Ausroad’s Archerfield plant in Queensland, Australia. Rio Tinto Iron ore have placed an order for another nine of these units, based on Volvo FMX chassis supplied via Truck Centre WA, this will take their fleet to 20 units. The delivery schedule begins November 2018 for the nine new units that boast the 21t stemming capacity.

Ausroad Systems CEO Toni said: “We enjoy a strong relationship with Rio Tinto, as they are one of the premiere Mining and Minerals companies in the world, it is a privilege to be on their preferred supplier list for procurement.”

Both Stemming Trucks are fitted to Volvo FMx118R Mine Spec Cab Chassis supplied by Truck Centre WA, Perth.

These Volvo Cab Chassis are particularly well suited to the arid mine site conditions of Australia. They are very comfortable to drive and operate in extremely well in these harsh conditions.

Rio Tinto is using these vehicles in the Iron Ore mines in WA, that require a robust and well-seasoned vehicle equipped with purpose-designed after-market equipment that can easily handle these rugged conditions and prove to be versatile in their operation.
