The most important characteristic of MTG steels is their optimised capacity to withstand wear and impacts. Thanks to these steels, our wear parts last longer and reduce the risk of breakages.
MTG twist – hammerless tooth-adapter locking solution
MTG twist is a new hammerless tooth-adapter locking solution with excellent retention properties. Teeth can be changed with a single rotation and without the use of a hammer, helping prevent accidents and making it easier and safer to assemble and disassemble teeth.
The MTG twist locking solution reduces the machine’s downtime and only requires one operator to change the teeth, meaning that the tooth assembly and disassembly costs are also reduced.
It is a reliable, robust and lasting solution that offers excellent retention, prevents pin loss, has a more solid design (with no section breaks) and ensures the pin is not damaged during disassembly (meaning it can be reused several times).
StarMet – hammerless tooth-adapter system
MTG Systems StarMet is a hammerless tooth-adapter system for mining, quarries and construction.
The StarMet system includes the MTG twist hammerless locking solution, which provides increased safety, less effort than when using a hammer, reduced operating costs when changing the teeth and offers excellent retention, preventing tooth loss.
The optimised design of the StarMet teeth means better penetration (increasing the machine’s productivity) and more wear material with less throw-away.
The StarMet adapters have been designed to protect the weld and legs from lower and lateral wear and tear, reducing the amount and length of stops. In high-abrasion applications it is recommended to place a mechanical wear cap on the adapter to extend its wear-life.
The StarMet fitting system has been designed for optimum distribution of forces as well as maximum resistance and strength.
ProMet – hammerless system for bucket protection
Our range of ProMet II bucket shrouds for excavators and mining loaders offer improved and optimised design, which provides greater bucket protection and ensures better performance with large machines. The new ProMet II range uses the MTG twist hammerless locking system, enabling perfect locking for the most aggressive applications with the utmost safety.
The locking system of the Promet II range only requires one weldable base to be installed for each blade shroud. Furthermore, and to make installation of the base even easier, the new references come with positioning guides that enable precise and quick assembly, reducing the machine’s downtime.
The ProMet lateral side protectors are also reversible, making it possible to change their position when required and thus extend the life of the shroud.
The Promet protectors also reduce the bucket’s exposure to impacts and abrasions, and increase the bucket capacity and penetration, making it possible to load more material, and therefore improving the productivity of the machine.
RipMet – hammerless ripper with long wear-life
The new MTG Systems RipMet hammerless ripper provides a greater wear-life and optimal penetration. When other rippers on the market must be replaced, the RipMet teeth keep working with excellent penetration.
The shorter shape of the adapter nose positively influences two decisive factors, improving performance. The teeth have a higher percentage of wear material, which increases their wear-life. The self-sharpening channel maintains penetration until the end of its service.
The adapter protects and optimises the penetration of the arm in a lasting way, making the most of the wear material and its central nerve.
Moreover, the RipMet system offers excellent resistance on the toughest applications. The stability of the fitting system better distributes the forces when working, minimising breakages even on the hardest applications and keeping the tooth firmly in place.
MTG Systems RipMet uses the MTG twist locking solution, which offers improved safety when changing the teeth or the shroud, excellent retention of the pin, prevents accidents, requires less effort than when using a hammer and is easier and faster to change.
