Elevra Lithium has signed a binding agreement to supply spodumene concentrate from its North American Lithium (NAL) facility in Québec, Canada, to LG Energy Solution.

Under the terms of the deal, Elevra will deliver a total of 240,000 dry metric tonnes (dmt) of spodumene concentrate over three years, with shipments expected to begin in 2026.

According to the agreement, Elevra will supply 30,000dmt in 2026, followed by 60,000dmt in both 2027 and 2028, and 90,000dmt in 2029.

In addition to these quantities, the company may provide up to a further 90,000dmt as optional volume during the contract period, contingent upon mutual agreement between the two companies.

Pricing for shipments will be determined using a market-linked mechanism, with adjustments based on lithium content.

Elevra stated that the deal forms part of its strategy to build strategic customer relationships and diversify its sales portfolio for NAL.

The agreement with LG Energy Solution is intended to support more market-oriented commercial terms.

Elevra managing director and CEO Lucas Dow said: “This agreement with LG Energy Solution represents an important step in implementing the commercial strategy we outlined with our FY26 [fiscal year 2026] annual results.

“It provides Elevra with a committed customer for a meaningful portion of NAL’s production while retaining exposure to spodumene concentrate market pricing.

“Securing a leading global battery manufacturer as a customer further strengthens the commercial position of NAL and supports our strategy of building a diversified portfolio of high-quality customers as we increase production and progress the NAL expansion.”

Elevra Lithium owns 100% of the NAL site in Québec, a 60% interest in the Moblan Lithium Project in central Québec and fully owns the Carolina Lithium Project in the US. Elevra also participates in a joint venture in Western Australia.

In February this year, Elevra signed a non-binding memorandum of understanding with Mangrove Lithium concerning the supply of spodumene concentrate.
