Decade Resources has mobilised a drill for phase one exploration at the Bonaparte copper-gold property, situated around 50km north of Kamloops, British Columbia (BC), Canada.
The property comprises four mineral claims covering 4,149.63 hectares (ha) in the Kamloops Mining Division.

These include areas with copper/gold/molybdenum porphyry potential, a bulk-tonnage reduced intrusion-related gold system target and high-grade gold-copper epithermal veins.
For this first phase, Decade Resources plans to drill six holes totalling 3,000m using equipment capable of reaching depths of at least 500m with NQ sized core.
Initial efforts will target overlapping anomalies identified through Mobile Metal Ion surveys, soil geochemistry, and geophysical indicators such as chargeability and resistivity.
The first drill-hole will assess a chargeability anomaly below the Discovery area, while a second hole roughly 500m east will examine further geophysical anomalies.
The exact locations of additional drill-holes will be determined after reviewing the outcomes of the initial two holes.
Decade Resources has engaged Brush and Shine, a First Nation contracting company owned by a Tk̓emlúps te Secwépemc band member and based in Kamloops, to provide fire suppression services during the drilling operations.
Historical work at the Bonaparte site includes a 3,700t bulk sample taken in 1994 from surface trenching of several vein systems, which produced an average grade of 25.4 grams per tonne (g/t) gold, yielding 3,160oz.
A 364t sample in 2010 from the Crow Vein assayed 16.3g/t gold and produced 161.95oz.
Decade Resources president Ed Kruchkowski said: “In late July, a contract sampling crew completed a soil sampling survey over the south part of the indicated IP [induced polarisation] anomaly, resulting in the collecting of over 750 soil samples and 30 rock samples.
“The rocks were cut with a diamond saw to provide smooth surfaces for study. In examination of the rock samples, many were hornfels, which is a fine-grained metamorphic rock without obvious foliation that forms by heat from a nearby magma.”
In April 2025, the company received approval from the TSX Venture Exchange to acquire the North Mitchell property, a strategic landholding in the prolific Golden Triangle of north-western BC.
