Kenorland Minerals has announced the initiation of the phase-two diamond drill programme at the South Uchi project, which is held under an option agreement with Auranova Resources, in the Red Lake District in Ontario, Canada.
This fall (September–November) 2025 exploration programme, approved by Auranova, will involve up to 6,000m of drilling in around 13 drill-holes in the Papaonga target area.

The second phase builds on the success of the initial drilling programme that concluded earlier in 2025.
Its goal is to further investigate the recently discovered gold-bearing structural corridors and to explore additional structures hidden beneath deep overburden.
The current drill programme includes tighter step-outs around hole 25PADD023, which intersected mineralised shear zones with visible gold.
The purpose of these follow-up holes is to more precisely determine the geometry and continuity of mineralisation within this structural corridor.

By GlobalDataFurthermore, wider-spaced step-outs are being carried out along the east-west trending deformation zone between holes 25PADD016 and 25PADD023 to explore potential lateral extensions of gold-bearing structures.
The programme also involves initial drill testing of structures north-east of 25PADD023, within areas of deeper overburden where no historical drilling has occurred.
The goal of these efforts is to define the high-grade zone identified at 25PADD023 more precisely and to extend the exploration into untested areas of the deformation corridor.
Kenorland CEO and president Zach Flood said: “We are excited to return to South Uchi following a very successful maiden drill programme earlier this year. The initial campaign confirmed widespread gold mineralisation in bedrock across multiple kilometres of strike.
“Among the most compelling results was along the eastern extent of the target area, where drilling intersected a strongly mineralised and altered shear zone hosting multiple generations of veining, sulphidation and visible gold – hallmarks of a robust orogenic gold system. The current drill programme will step out from this discovery as well as test additional targets concealed beneath thick overburden.”
The South Uchi Project, initially discovered and staked by Kenorland, is centered on the potential of the under-explored region to host substantial gold mineralisation systems.
