The engagement with Glencore Technology began in late 2024 when the Jameson Cell, a technology in use since 1986, was proposed as an upgrade to conventional flotation cells.

U.S. Gold undertook additional testing on ore from the CK Gold Project to assess the technology’s effectiveness. The results demonstrated improvements in gold and copper recovery rates compared to those reported in the February 2025 prefeasibility study.

A trade-off study by Halyard Micon International has estimated that the Jameson Cell technology could potentially increase the net present value, or NPV, (5%) of the CK Gold Project by approximately $36m over the mine’s lifespan.

U.S. Gold president and CEO George Bee said: “Through rigorous trade-off studies and testing, we have confirmed that this technology offers improvements over conventional flotation cells, including increased metal recovery, reduced power consumption, and a smaller equipment and warehousing footprint.

“This strategic decision further enhances the already robust economics of the project, positioning us for success in the domestic production of strategic metals. We would like to thank the team at Glencore Technology for its support and performance guarantee, and we look forward to continuing to optimise our project with its expertise.”

U.S. Gold has secured a letter from Glencore Technology guaranteeing the pricing of unused Jameson Cells, initially purchased for a cancelled project, until October 2025.

In November 2024, US Gold subsidiary Gold King secured the final air quality permit for the CK Gold Project from the Wyoming Department of Environmental Quality.
