Australian Panel Tanks (APT) specialize in the design, manufacture and installation of water storage solutions for a range of commercial and industrial application. We operate with a particular emphasis on above ground circular and rectangular, modular steel tanks for community drinking water, wastewater treatment, fire systems, energy management, power stations, mining and process water.

CIRCULAR WATER TANKS

We manufacture circular bolted steel tanks, and continuing developments in flexible membrane lines, coating systems, automatic hydraulic jacking systems and roof design, the capacity and diversity of storage for these types of tanks has increased substantially.

The APY YT series tank is a circular tank constructed of modular steel panels, bolted together with high tensile fasteners that are sealed with a flexible membrane liner of a gasket joining system. Bulk purchasing and production of modular sections enable APT to provide competitive prices over that of concrete or welded steel tanks.

These tanks offer diversity of dimensional configuration, capacities and applications. With modular standard panel sizes of 2,160mm by 1,200mm, 2,160mm by 900mm, 2,160mm by 600mm and 2,160mm by 300mm. This range of sizes enables us to construct tanks to suit almost any dimension restriction from 2.5m to 50m diameter and from 1.2m to 25m high.

One-piece factory fabricated flexible membrane liners form an impervious barrier between the steel structure and the water environment and eliminate corrosion of internal surfaces of the tank structure. Modular construction also allows coatings to be applied in factory controlled processes and conditions, significantly increasing the life expectancy of the tank coatings.

GLASS COATED STEEL WATER TANKS

Glass coating provides a chemically inert, tough enamel coating to a modular steel section. These tanks are very effective in harsh environments that require a long life of trouble free storage.

One advantage of glass-coated tanks is that they are easy to clean, as it is not possible for soil to cling to enamelled surfaces. Due to the constitution of the surface, enamel is not inferior in view to the typical tightness of against abrasion. This means that the glass-hard surface of the enamel is very tough.

RECTANGULAR WATER TANKS

APT have moved away from pressed steel panels to a fabricated panel that enables us to meet the dimensional requirements of our clients working with confined spaces. We use galvanized mild steel, epoxy-coated mild steel and stainless steel. Advantages of these tanks are that they are tough, and vandal-resistant for unattended locations, easy to build, they have a low physical profile and are ideal for temporary requirements. Additionally, we offer full tank erection and inspection by trained staff.

APT offer the ST, BT and GRP (Glassfiber Reinforced Plastic) series of rectangular tanks. The BT Series tank is a relatively new concept in the water storage market place. It is rectangular membrane lined modular steel tank with no internal structure that is exposed to the water environment and potential corrosion. BT series is essentially a combination of the concepts of the YT series and the ST series tanks.
