Richmond Hill Resources has appointed Critical Discoveries to oversee technical work for the Martello Gold Project in Ontario, Canada.

The company said the technical work will include compiling historical data, generating targets and planning the drill programme.

Critical Discoveries will review all available geological mapping, geochemical data, drill logs and geophysical surveys for the Martello Gold Project.

The information will be converted into current formats to support integration and future exploration planning.

The work will also include preparing maps and figures that summarise key exploration results and property highlights.

Critical Discoveries will review historical information alongside geophysical and geochemical patterns to define priority drilling targets for the project.

It will deliver an initial drill-targeting plan for the first drilling campaign, together with recommendations for subsequent programmes. This will outline proposed collar locations and the justification for each target.

The desktop study is set for completion by 31 January 2026.

As announced in December 2025, Richmond Hill signed a term sheet outlining the potential acquisition of a 100% commercial and beneficial interest in the gold project.

The company also noted that there is no assurance a definitive sale and purchase agreement will be executed or that the transaction will proceed as proposed.

Richmond Hill CEO Hamish Harris said: “The Board is pleased to commence work on the Martello Gold Project. It is pleasing that external consultants are able to progress the project on such an expedited basis.

“With external consultants now appointed on both Martello and the Saint Sophie Copper Project, there has been significant progress in a short period of time since admission and 2026 is set to be an active year for the company.”
