TechMet has launched TechMet USA, a new domestic platform aimed at advancing the production, processing, and recycling of critical minerals.
The company’s initiative brings together its portfolio of US-based assets to support the country’s economic and national security priorities.

The formation of TechMet USA sees the consolidation of four assets owned or developed by TechMet, EnergySource Minerals, US Vanadium, Momentum Technologies, and Xerion Advanced Battery.
These operations focus on sourcing and processing minerals and rare earth elements, as well as technologies for cathode manufacturing, essential for advanced technologies and supply chains in the US.
The new platform is intended to address the growing demand for minerals that are significant to the US economy and industrial competitiveness.
TechMet USA is backed by its own global technical and operational experience and is designed to align closely with national critical minerals priorities.
Major shareholders in TechMet include the US International Development Finance Corporation (DFC).
Several of TechMet USA’s assets have received financial support from US government agencies.
The company also reported that its US portfolio has established commercial links with original equipment manufacturers, commodity traders, national security projects, national laboratories, and other groups involved in securing strategic material supplies.
TechMet USA will be led by newly appointed CEO Erik Ripple.
Ripple said: “TechMet USA brings together a highquality portfolio of US critical minerals assets that are well positioned to strengthen America’s critical minerals supply chains against physical, cyber, and economic subversion.
“My focus will be on advancing these assets, building strategic and commercial partnerships, and accelerating growth to ensure American industry has secure, resilient, and Western-aligned supply chains.”
