Global technology solutions provider Syntax has concluded a SAP transformation for Rio2, enabling the mining company to transition from construction to operations at its fully owned Fenix Gold Mine in Chile within one year.
This move created a seamless digital core for Rio2, replacing manual processes with an integrated SAP Cloud enterprise resource planning (ERP) solution.

The change connects finance, procurement and project accounting, providing Rio2 with real-time financial insight, streamlined compliance and operational flexibility.
With the approval granted for the Fenix Gold Mine construction, Rio2 quickly implemented SAP systems.
The company faced scattered financial data and manual workflows across Canada, Chile and Peru.

The new unified platform provides real-time data insights and consistent governance, crucial for managing construction efficiently within budget.
The transformation involved adopting a cloud strategy, implementing SAP Cloud ERP in six months using standard templates.
Additional solutions such as SAP Analytics Cloud, SAP Document Compliance and Concur ExpenseIt improved reporting and compliance.
