General Moly has completed an updated pre-feasibility study (PFS) on its Liberty project located in Nevada, US.
The PFS was completed by M3 Engineering & Technology with supporting work from Independent Mining Consultants.
The project includes two scenarios, the unconstrained model, which disturbs Federal Bureau of Land Management land within the first year of development, and a constrained model, which will limit disturbance to private land for the initial three years of production.
According to the PFS, the project is expected to produce 598Mlb of molybdenum and 534Mlb of copper over a mine life of 42 years.
The construction cost of the Liberty project is estimated to cost about $556m for the unconstrained model and $573m for the constrained model.
