Global Advanced Metals (GAM) has completed its $400m acquisition of the tantalum processing arm of Cabot Corp, which was first announced in August 2011.

Global Advanced Metals (GAM) has completed its $400m acquisition of the tantalum processing arm of Cabot Corp, a deal first announced in August 2011. In addition, GAM also closed its Wodgina tantalum mine in the Pilbara, Australia.

Canadian-based exploration company Dalradian Resources has entered into an agreement with a syndicate of underwriters who have agreed to buy 12,500,000 common shares for gross proceeds of $25m on a bought-deal basis by way of a short form prospectus.The underwriters are led by BMO Capital Markets and Clarus Securities, and include Stifel Nicolaus Canada.

Silver Lake Resources has agreed to acquire Phillips River Mining in a friendly takeover for $20m. The deal will give Silver Lake an additional 1Moz of gold across several mining areas in the Ravensthorpe region in Western Australia.

Merc International Minerals has closed its 100% interest acquisition of mineral claims and leases from Aboriginal Affairs and Northern Development Canada, including those of the formerly productive Colomac Gold Mine in the North-West Territories. The acquisition also includes four surrounding gold deposits and several gold showings.

Bear Mining Corp has acquired a new property in the Elk City Gold Project in Idaho, US, consisting of 48 federal mining claims. It was acquired from Southern Legacy Minerals. for 6 million shares of common stock and 6 million common stock purchase warrants.
