BHP Billiton has completed its acquisition of the HWE Mining subsidiaries from Leighton Holdings.

BHP Billiton has completed its acquisition of the HWE Mining subsidiaries from Leighton Holdings.

The subsidiaries provide contract mining services to BHP's Western Australia iron ore operations.

UC RUSAL has entered into an agreement to acquire 50% of OOO Yaroslavsk GRK from Russian Mining Company (RGRK). Yaroslavsk GRK will be 100% wholly owned by RUSAL, on completion of the deal.

Claude Resources has completed the acquisition of purchasing all of the outstanding shares of St. Eugene Mining Corporation.

Under the approved plan of arrangement, Claude acquired all of the outstanding common shares of St. Eugene in exchange for the issuance of approximately 9.6m common shares of Claude.

Atlas Copco has today completed the acquisition of GIA Industri in Sweden from Vatterledens Verkstad, a subsidiary of Vatterledens Invest.

The acquisition will see Atlas Copco broaden its offering with products including electric mine trucks, utility vehicles, continuous loaders and ventilation systems.

Canadian Imperial Venture Corp (CIVC) has entered into an arm's length letter of intent with Carina Energy, with a view to CIVC acquiring all of the issued and outstanding securities of Carina

Steele Resources Corporation has executed a letter of intent to purchase the privately owned Billali Gold and Silver Mine located in New Mexico, US.

Auriga Gold Corp has entered into an agreement to purchase a 100% undivided interest in a 12,622ha (126 km²) property consisting of 29 mining claims from Pioneer Metals. The claims named the Prosperity North Property are located in British Columbia, Canada.

US-based VSUS Technologies has entered into a letter of intent to acquire the 390 HA 'La Herradura' Coal Mine in Guaduas, Colombia.
