Cyprium Mining chairman and CEO Alain Lambert said: "We appointed Bergmann in February to carry-out the Potosi shaft #3 project, which consisted in the rehabilitation and improvement of the extraction capability of the shaft, as well as improvement of infrastructure, security and preparation of prospective mining areas at levels two to four of the mine.

"Not only did Bergmann complete the project on time and on budget, but they also contributed several ideas, which strengthened the original plan."

"Not only did Bergmann complete the project on time and on budget but they also contributed several ideas, which strengthened the original plan."

Under the agreement, Bergmann will perform mining development services, including pre-mining activities.

The company will also provide services such as extraction of minerals and mine development on a cost plus basis.

Bergmann will also assess and make a recommendation on the possible rehabilitation of the first shaft in a bid to provide access to additional levels of the mine.

Lambert added: "In the next few days I will be working closely with our team to establish a firm date for the commencement of the extraction activities, which will lead to mineralised material being sent to the Aldama plant for processing and then delivery of concentrates to Trafigura Mexico."

Cyprium signed a series of agreements on 28 July last year to acquire a 53% interest in certain mineral rights and concessions for the Potosi mine property in the Santa Eulalia district, Chihuahua State from Minerales Nacionales de Mexico and the Valenzuela family.
