Arenas y Gravas La Fontana increases production with Metso’s Nordberg GP220 cone crusher

Arenas y Gravas La Fontana in Columbia has deployed a Nordberg GP220(TM) cone crusher to help boost efficiency across its operations.

Developed by the Finnish technology provider Metso, the equipment has been found to increase La Fontana's monthly productivity by 114%.

Metso has also delivered two primary screens for the company, Metso PREMIER CVB 1540-1P and Metso PREMIER CVB 2050-3.

Arenas y Gravas La Fontana general manager Anderson Salinas said: "The GP220 helps us to increase our monthly production from 14,000t to 30,000t.

Metso's crushers offer advantages in the form of high-performance, operational flexibility, low-energy consumption of only 200kW.

It weighs 10,500kg and has a maximum feed size of 200mm.

Equipped with enhanced crushing forces and cavity geometry, the tool can offer first class end-product shape and multiply production of desired end product fractions.

Production plant for Arenas y Gravas La Fontana is in a rural area of Garagoa, Boyacá, in Colombia while cement and concrete manufacturer Cemex is the leading customer for La Fontana.
