Metso has introduced three new additions to its digital portfolio intended to help mining operations optimise production, monitor performance data and improve workplace safety.
The newly launched solutions are Metso Digital Production Management, Metso Data-driven Performance Analytics and the Metso Safety Performance Platform.

According to the company, these products use AI and advanced analytics to provide users with insights and recommendations aimed at supporting production decisions and safety management.
Metso Digital Production Management is designed to assist operators in responding swiftly to changes in ore characteristics and process conditions.
The system brings together planning data, operational details and simulation models to assess different production scenarios.
It then suggests actions to help achieve goals such as boosting throughput, enhancing recovery, improving reliability or aligning production with maintenance needs.
Metso Data-driven Performance Analytics is an expert-led service designed to continuously monitor equipment use and process effectiveness.
The service provides daily oversight of asset and process performance, identifies bottlenecks and helps prioritise actions for ongoing operational improvement.
These services originate from Metso Performance Centres, which also support customers with data-driven condition monitoring globally.
With the Safety Performance Platform, Metso offers a tool to encourage workforce engagement in risk reporting.
The platform enables employees and contractors to document risks and incidents from any device, using AI-assisted features to improve data quality and provide real-time dashboards, analytics and safety recommendations.

Metso says the portfolio draws on its experience across mineral processing, from crushing to tailings management, combining operational expertise with AI and analytics technologies.
Earlier this month, Metso signed an agreement with the Geological Survey of Finland (GTK) to engineer and deliver process technology for GTK Mintec’s new pilot plant in Outokumpu, Finland.
