Inspiration Mining has initiated its first drilling programme at the Rottenstone North Gold-Copper Project in northern Saskatchewan, Canada.

The company plans to explore volcanogenic massive sulphide (VMS)-style copper-zinc-lead-silver-gold targets along the south-eastern boundary of the project area.

The decision on drill locations aligns with factors such as regional geology, structural corridors, geophysics and satellite-derived anomalies.

These sites are in proximity to established mineralised trends.

The project’s boundary aligns closely with Ramp Metals’ Rush copper-zinc-silver discovery just to the east.

Holding a vast area in this emerging VMS and gold district, Inspiration Mining owns 100% of approximately 35,500 hectares (ha) in the Rottenstone gold-copper camp.

The project is strategically placed, sharing trends with recent discoveries, and is supported by advanced satellite data highlighting several gold-copper targets.

The Rottenstone North area covers 4,512ha and, along with the Rottenstone West acquisition of 31,011ha, forms part of a significant VMS gold district.

These territories are adjacent to Ramp Metals’ copper-gold discoveries at Rush and Ranger.

The geological structures hosting the Rottenstone properties are known for high-grade showings such as the Ranger report of 73.55 grams per tonne (g/t) silver over 7.5m and Rush’s discovery of 0.80% copper over 21m.

Inspiration Mining CEO Charles Desjardins said: “We are very pleased and more excited to see what almost two years of dedicated, meticulous ground work and satellite data capture from this drilling programme.

“We eagerly anticipate what the core returns and considering that our neighbour immediate to the east just announced hitting VMS-style mineralisation in nine out of nine drill-holes, we are very optimistic about what we will encounter.

“With just over 40 million shares outstanding, any success in the ground could be amplified by the small share count.”
