Great Pacific Gold has reported that recent geological mapping and channel sampling at its Wild Dog Project in East New Britain Province, Papua New Guinea, have expanded the known extent of gold mineralisation at the Elamaraka and Kargalio vein systems.
The findings reveal new quartz-sulphide veins beyond previously mapped areas, broadening the interpreted footprint of both systems within the southern Wild Dog structural corridor.

Sampling at the Elamaraka Vein System returned 9m at 4.81 grams per tonne (g/t) gold and 41.96g/t silver from continuous channels in sulphide-rich quartz veins.
Peak assay results included one sample at 26.86g/t gold and 233.4g/t silver, while further exposures yielded values such as 4.22g/t gold from grab samples and up to 1.20g/t gold in channel tests.
Recent mapping has also revealed additional quartz-sulphide veins in this area, significantly expanding the known mineralised zone.
At the Kargalio Vein System, channel sampling identified 6m grading 7.29g/t gold within a quartz-clay-sulphide vein, including 2m at 16.20g/t gold.
Another interval, located approximately 40m south, delivered 2.85g/t gold over 6m.
A separate quartz-sulphide-clay breccia zone about 260m east of the main Kargalio Vein returned 10m at 1.77g/t gold.
According to the company, these findings suggest the mineralisation extends beyond historical exposures along newly identified structures.
Both the Elamaraka and Kargalio zones were initially identified in 1983, though much of the structural corridor remains incompletely explored.
Current exploration activities now include the development of a new access track and initiation of systematic mapping and sampling in the South Zone, which includes several additional prospects.
Great Pacific Gold plans to continue geological mapping, integrate pending assay results, and further refine its structural interpretation of the area.
Results from the most recent fieldwork in underexplored sections are expected to be released upon completion and review of the laboratory assays.
