Russia’s mining industry registered a 30.5% rise in IT hiring activity in August 2022 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics database.
The industry’s overall hiring increased by 21.59% in August 2022 when compared with July 2022.
Out of the mining industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed a 4.54% share in August 2022, recording an increase of 1.28% over the last three-month average share.
Top five job classifications in Russia’s mining industry’s IT recruitment activity in August 2022
Out of the total job titles, the top five roles commanded a 100% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Russia’s mining industry in August 2022.
1) Database and Network Administrators and Architects recorded a share of 38.1% in August 2022, registering a 700% growth over the previous month.
2) Computer and Information Analysts claimed a 33.33% share, a flat growth over the previous month.
3) Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers held a share of 19.05%, registering a 300% rise from July 2022.
4) Miscellaneous Computer Occupations captured a share of 9.52%, flat growth over the previous month.
Top five mining companies in Russia’s IT recruitment activity in August 2022
The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average flat growth share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Russia’s mining industry during August 2022 over July 2022.
En+ Group posted 20 IT jobs in August 2022 and registered a flat growth over the previous month, followed by MMC Norilsk Nickel with 1 job and a 50% drop. .
Junior Level job postings dominate in August 2022
Junior Level jobs held a share of 71.43%, flat growth from July 2022. Mid Level positions with a 19.05% share, registered an increase of 300% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Senior job ads with 4.76% share, flat growth over July 2022, while Entry Level postings accounted for 4.76%, recording a month-on-month flat growth.
