Database and Network Administrators and Architects Occupations emerged as the leading IT occupation in North America with a share of 40.23% in November 2022, a 36.36% drop over the previous month. Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers came in next, claiming a share of 20.69% in November 2022, marking a 48.57% month-on-month decline. In the third place was Computer Support Specialists with a share of 13.79% in November 2022, a 7.69% drop from October 2022.

The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, accounted for a combined average growth of 10.26% in the overall IT recruitment activity of North America’s mining industry during November 2022 over previous month.

Equinox Gold posted 14 IT jobs in November 2022 and registered an increase of 133.33% over the previous month, followed by Freeport-McMoRan with 11 jobs and a flat growth. Vale with 7 IT jobs and American Iron & Metal Co with 6 jobs, recorded a flat growth and a 100% rise, respectively, while Teck Resources recorded a 58.33% decline with 5 job postings during November 2022.

The US commanded a leading presence in the region’s mining industry IT hiring activity with a 57.47% share in November 2022, a 50% decrease over October 2022.
