The industry’s overall hiring is decreased by 2.59% in October 2022 when compared with September 2022.
Out of the mining industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed a 7.37% share in October 2022, recording an increase of 2.09% over the last three-month average share.
Top five job classifications in India’s mining industry’s IT recruitment activity in October 2022
Out of the total job titles, the top five roles commanded a 100% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of India’s mining industry in October 2022.
1) Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers recorded a share of 44.44% in October 2022, registering a 100% growth over the previous month.
2) Database and Network Administrators and Architects claimed a 33.33% share, a decrease of 62.5% over the previous month.
3) Miscellaneous Computer Occupations held a share of 11.11%, registering a flat growth from September 2022.
4) Computer and Information Analysts captured a share of 11.11%, down 50% over the previous month.
Top five mining companies in India’s IT recruitment activity in October 2022
The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average growth of 60% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of India’s mining industry during October 2022 over September 2022.
ThyssenKrupp posted 3 IT jobs in October 2022 and registered a rise of 200% over the previous month, followed by Norsk Hydro with 2 jobs and a 33.33% drop. NLMK DanSteel with 1 IT job and Aditya Birla Management Corp with 1 jobs, recorded a flat growth and a flat growth, respectively, while Orica recorded a flat growth with 1 job postings during October 2022.
Junior Level job postings dominate in October 2022
Junior Level jobs held a share of 55.56%, down by 16.67% from September 2022. Mid Level positions with a 33.33% share, registered a decline of 40% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Entry Level job ads with an 11.11% share, flat growth over September 2022.
