Miscellaneous Computer Occupations Occupations emerged as the leading IT occupation in Asia-Pacific with a share of 36.17% in November 2022, a 70% rise over the previous month. Database and Network Administrators and Architects came in next, claiming a share of 23.4% in November 2022, marking a 63.33% month-on-month decline. In the third place was Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers with a share of 19.15% in November 2022, a 55% drop from October 2022.

BlueScope Steel posted 6 IT jobs in November 2022 and registered a decline of 45.45% over the previous month, followed by Newcrest Mining with 6 jobs and a flat growth. Fortescue Metals Group with 5 IT jobs and Evolution Mining with 4 jobs, recorded a 28.57% drop and a 100% rise, respectively, while Glencore recorded a flat growth with 3 job postings during November 2022.

Country-wise composition of IT hiring in Asia-Pacific’s mining industry

Australia commanded a leading presence in the region’s mining industry IT hiring activity with an 82.98% share in November 2022, a 15.22% decrease over October 2022. India featured next with an 8.51% share, down 60% over the previous month. Singapore recorded a 4.26% share, a drop of 33.33% compared with October 2022.
