The top five companies accounted for 42% of patenting activity
Analysis of patenting activity by companies shows that Kobe Steel filed the most future of work patents within the mining industry in Q4 2023. The company filed 24 future of work-related patents in the quarter, compared with 27 in the previous quarter. It was followed by JFE with 18 future of work patent filings, China Baowu Steel Group (12 filings), and ArcelorMittal (6 filings) in Q4 2023.
