The top five companies accounted for 56% of patenting activity
Analysis of patenting activity by companies shows that Toyo Seikan Group filed the most batteries patents within the mining industry in Q4 2023. The company filed 14 batteries-related patents in the quarter, compared with 6 in the previous quarter. It was followed by ENEOS with 12 batteries patent filings, Mitsui Mining & Smelting (9 filings), and Korea Zinc (8 filings) in Q4 2023.
