Four Nines Gold has begun its inaugural drilling campaign at the Hayden Hill Gold Project in Lassen County, California, US.
The drill programme, fully funded for its first phase, will initially cover 5,000ft and is designed to test a new geological model developed by the company.

LSG Drilling has started work on-site, with operations focused on high-grade structural corridors and deeper vein extensions identified through comprehensive 3D modelling.
Previous drilling at Hayden Hill typically reached depths of just 150m and did not focus on the high-grade vein systems currently believed to be responsible for gold mineralisation at the site.
The current campaign aims to test for converging high-grade veins at depths of around 200m, beneath areas that were historically mined.
Four Nines Gold president and CEO Charles Ross said: “This is the moment our shareholders have been waiting for. Our team has spent months refining the geologic model, permitting drill stations and preparing for this programme.
“Now the drill is turning, and we are targeting high‑grade zones that have never been tested. The potential to unlock significant value is real and today marks the beginning of that process.”
Hayden Hill previously produced 480,000oz of gold and 1.3 million ounces of silver and has seen no systematic exploration since 1997.
Amax Gold completed nearly 99,862m of drilling in 742 holes before the mine closed.
Four Nines Gold holds the right to acquire 100% of the project from a subsidiary of Kinross Gold.
The Hayden project area is on private land and drill permits for the initial exploration have been received from Lassen County.
