Metalsource Mining currently holds a consolidated land position of approximately 1,300 acres.
The recently acquired 141 acres are located along strike and down dip of known mineralisation.
These new acquisitions form part of Metalsource Mining’s ongoing efforts to broaden its exploration activities at Silver Hill.
The move supports its objective of assessing the district-scale potential beyond the footprint of the historic mine.
As Metalsource Mining continues with its current drilling programme, a number of assay results remain pending.
The company also reported plans to increase exploration activities by securing an additional drill rig to accelerate testing of both existing mineralisation and new targets identified through geological and geophysical interpretation.
The additional properties will be integrated into its broader geological model for Silver Hill as it seeks to prioritise exploration targets throughout the district.
Management confirmed that it will continue to evaluate opportunities for further land acquisitions to support its district-scale exploration strategy.
Multiple drill-holes are currently awaiting assay results, and the company indicated that these results are expected to further inform its understanding of the Silver Hill system.
Metalsource Mining CEO Joe Cullen said: “This is a strategic acquisition we have been working toward for some time. As drilling, geophysics and geological interpretation have continued to improve our understanding of the Silver Hill system, it became increasingly important to secure these highly prospective properties while the opportunity was available.
“We are grateful to the families who have owned this land for generations and appreciate the trust they have placed in our team. Every successful drill-hole has strengthened our confidence in the broader district and helped define where we believe the next phase of exploration should be focused.”
